Erin Poppenga

Erin Poppenga joined Yturri Rose after graduating from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2025. She has her B.S. in criminal justice from Boise State University, with a minor in marketing. While in law school, Erin founded and served as president of the Animal Law Club. She led the first directed study course in animal law, which has blossomed into a course offered by the school today. She completed a significant amount of pro-bono work for the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Erin also externed for Idaho Federal District Court Judge B. Lynn Winmill during her last semester of law school. Erin has many years of experience as a legal assistant, which has familiarized her with the intricacies of legal practice. Specifically, she worked in family law and workers’ compensation, which sparked her passion for litigation.

Beyond the law, Erin enjoys hiking, traveling, camping, and simply enjoying the beautiful outdoors with her parents and her Australian Cattle Dog rescue, Daphne. Erin also loves hitting the slopes on her skis every winter.
